Quite the day!

Hello everyone!
Today has been a busy day, without having to do very much! The kids have kept me running in circles! I am enjoying posting to my "new" blog! I have heard These blogs are a great outlet for some and I can see why.  Olives Nest in it's self keeps me pretty busy, and has been wonderful for me to have a hobby that I really love, and somethings that Spencer and I can do together. We truly love creating and designing these items and hope you like these ones. These are just a few of our bright buttons, we have a GOLD button that we adore. They are so fun cause they can really go in any room!

This here is our Gas and Oil sign with a design of a old truck, with a pallet backing. This is s oso perfect for a little boys room, Making this for us was so fun because we love these old trucks. We live in a small country town and people around here enjoy these worn pieces! The custom lettering is done by Nazy's Nest ( see on etsy and facebook) Her Stuff is truly amazing!

HERE is a piece from Nazy's Nest Her work you can't find anywhere else!

OLIVES NEST: ENDING 2013

Christmas is over and we are ending 2013, but it seems for us we are just starting something great. We started all this with Renae Dalton ( Aubrey's mom)  as Nazy's Nest and we did pretty well for just throwing a facebook site together and selling some items. A few months into it we started to seperate Renae's work from ours and figured out we would do better on our own and let Renae continue to be the owner at Nazy's Nest, seems how she is already her own business owner @ RL Studios, is a licensed artist and has already made her name for herself, ( go to :https://www.etsy.com/shop/NazysNest?ref=shop_sugg)  We figured we should try to do the same!

We began by finding some trendy home decor items that people love, and put our own twist on then with some wood. This was our fist attempt, we live in a small town that is in the middle of Utah. Roosters and Hens are a popular thing!
Then we decided, lets try and go with our own style which is shabby country, we like the old vintage things. We decided that the old vintage (retro) bicycles would be a hit and we were right:) The are so fun for a accent piece, we have a few people say how cute they would be for a kids room as a headboard. Of course the pallet backing is so "in" right now so we attempted that and turns out we love it!

These are just a few things we have attempted and there are a lot more we will post here soon! Hope you stay tuned. THANKS
