Hello All:)
I hope you New Year has been filled with new adventures, joy, and happiness! My sixteen days of January have already been filled up with new things. I have always wanted to open my own store and have dreamed of what it would be like if I had all the money in the world to make it look like I wanted, well I haven't accomplished that dream yet but it is still one of my biggest dreams, so for now it is a work in progress and I believe every day counts while I am trying to get my name out there. I am still not sure what ways are best, however I am trying and I will find what works and what doesn't. As for now this blog is one way I am PUSHING to get our items to be viewed, and hopefully bought along the way.
So for today here is our Moon Cut out. So fun for a little baby boys room or an accent piece in any room!
So I know to many of you who know me, know my style is super duper vintage and country. Well I figured that I am starting to add a few nicer (up to date) pieces to my style so I am mixing us up a little. Don't get me wrong I LOVE SHABBY CHIC its my love:) but sometimes I get overload and its not as special when my house is all old. Anyways here is another country piece it is all black and white Cow, Pig, and Rooster. In person this piece is just too die for!
I absolutely love this, it is actually up north in a store in Midvale, UT in Home Again Consignment. It is just so unique and just gorgeous! So if you are this far into my blog post go like my face book page Olives Nest. We are getting ready to upload many more items and they are going to be amazing:) Our most popular item lately has been our buttons, and they are just adorable for decor! Thanks again hopefully I start getting some followers and not just viewers!

Kids, life and Business
So we have had sick sick kids, so I have been away from the blog, but we are back on the wagon now! So My baby youngest baby girl had been sick for so long, before Christmas we noticed she had just flu like symptoms and thought it would just go away. She never really had a bad fever, it was just low grade, so after Christmas she was still sick so we took her to the doc and he said it was just a virus, that it had to run its course gave her some medicine for ear aches. So, to make it short she was still not herself and pretty sick! We took her back and she ended up having Fifth's Disease. So now we are back on track, with kids and sickness but it seemed like she was sick forever! I thought my others kids were going to catch it, ( it is related to chicken pox) but they never did! KNOCK ON WOOD! So this new year me and Spence told ourselves we were really going to try to get Olives Nest to take off, well here we are once again we hit another road block. We are trying to get our house finished so we can focus all our time and energy to Olives Nest. It is the little things we have to finish, besides one big room our KITCHEN! I guess remodeling is a work in progress so I shouldn't complain, but the kitchen is a big project that we started last year and thought by now we would have it done. NOPE! So we decided we were going to actually REDO our kitchen so everyone wish us luck! In the meantime here is an order we have finished that we really love and kinda want to keep it;)

January, January, January
Hello Everyone!
I have been gone for a few day and I have been itching to post! Also, I must say I have been itching to show off this Texaco sign Spencer made for our little boy Quinn's room! We are doing his room, car themed. It has been so fun, we had my mom come paint a few signs just flat on the wall, (which looks amazing) but we wanted some dimension to the wall so we added an old hub cap, old license plates some old metal signs and then we added this awesome wooden 2 feet by 3 feet TEXACO sign.
This is Quinn, quite the little hunk, if you ask me! He is two and a half he is potty trained just recently and has been riding his new bike he got from Santa, like a pro. He is the sweetest thing, but yet he is ALL BOY! We thought a car themed room fit him perfectly. So take a look at my little stud muffin:)
Quinn was born on May 25, 2011, he was five weeks early and had to be in the Utah Valley Regional Medical center NICU for almost 2 weeks. We realize not that isn't very long to be in the NICU for. I just remember thinking how blessed we were to have him here and to be pretty darn healthy for a baby boy born a little too early. He has been such a little blessing in our lives. He has always had the sweetest spirit and loving little heart. You are probably wondering why we are ranting on Quinn here on this blog, well because if it weren't for this boy we wouldn't have done this amazing Texaco sign and wouldn't have brought ourselves a whole new line of creativity so dedicate this Texaco sign to: QUINN, MY SWEET LITTLE BUDDY. love you Quinner! Hope you all enjoy this Texaco sign!

A New Year: 2014
Well Happy 2014! I can't believe it is a new year already! Crazy to think that I am 22 years old and have 3 kids under the age of 3. I have loved every minute of it, although it has been challenging trying to balance my kids, and the busy life I have. I wouldn't have it any other way. We have so many people who support us and help us out and that is very relieving knowing we always have someone there when we feel like we need to put ourselves in time out. We are hoping this new year brings us happiness and joy. We have wishful thoughts that between this blog, twitter, etsy and facebook Olives Nest will start to reach a new audience and hope it will take off. Sometimes, I think to myself why do I try so hard to get our name out there, it seems so hard sometimes, but then I remember it is because we love it and want people to enjoy our creations as much as we do.
These are two of our Keys a yellow and a gold one. We love these a lot use these for hanging their keys on!
